Thank you to Maya Norton for her praise of our work on behalf of Shamoon College of Engineering. Maya blogs about her passion, and mine, Jewish philanthropy. I don’t know how Shamoon College came to her attention, but she wrote a beautiful piece holding it up as a model for Israeli organizations fundraising in the United States. You can read it here: Top 5 Must Haves for International Fundraising: Shamoon College Provides Best Practice Model « The New Jew: Blogging Jewish Philanthropy

In the spirit of full disclosure, I do want to note that Shamoon had already created its video before I was brought on board as a part-time Executive Vice President to build a US fundraising operation. Otherwise we started from scratch and built a marketing and fundraising operation for a very reasonable budget.

W e opened an office in New York City, definitely not required for most Israeli charities and refined our message before creating our website and hiring a public relations firm to help get out our name and message. Maya of course outlines what we did and puts it in context, so I won’t repeat.

Aliya Marketing and Fundraising Group provides expertise to charities looking to grow their annual and capital campaigns. We continue to specialize in Israeli and Jewish charities, though our expertise is applicable outside the Jewish community as well.
