A Most Valuable Resource

Though you might think that the first post to a blog should be a welcome page outlining the purpose and what to expect, I think I’ve already provided that with my home page for Aliya Marketing.

I’m one who thinks it is important to provide value before expecting value in return. So it makes total sense to me to provide you with a recommendation of another resource, the most valuable one I know when it comes to internet business. That is James Brausch’s Internet Business Blog.

I’ve only been following it for the past couple of months, but make sure that I read every post. He too believes in providing value and virtually everyone of his posts provides it. Here is a man that went from being a homeless addict to being a very successful entrepreneur. He pulls no punches in sharing the wisdom he has learned on that journey. With a healthy dose of attitude James not only shares what he has learned and how he has built his business, but lessons in life as well. Warning: he does not suffer fools well.

Not only is James Brausch generous with his wisdom, but he is generous with the tools and software he has developed as well. Whenever he develops a new tool or piece of software, he offers it to his current customers for a ridiculously low price for 24 hours. In 2 months of following the blog, I’ve seen at least 4 of them, and have taken advantage of each one. You see, just by reading his blog, you are one of his customers. Talk about providing value!

He has developed more than a half dozen software products, and at least as many information products. And each one of them is priced for value. Many would say at hundreds or thousands of dollars less than they are worth or than prices he could easily command. He has said that he has a reason for doing so and will reveal it sometime in the future when he achieves his goal.

The first piece of software I bought from him is called Glyphius 2007. It is powerful stuff. It analyzes your headline, or any other piece of writing, comparing it to a huge database of known profitable and unprofitable ads. You type in your first draft, score it, and then start tweaking. If your score goes up, it saves the new winner. It tracks every iteration.

I tried it on a landing page I’m developing for my sister to capture leads for her insurance business. My first headline scored 100. By the time I finished my headline was 420 and the subheadlines and bullet points were all more powerful. Unfortunately I don’t have actually statistics, but there is no doubt in my miind that the ad is much better than it was.

My next purchase from James will be his Multivariate Testing Software, Muvar. Just for fun I tested his headline for the sales page for Muvar in Glyphius 2007. The man is good. His headline tested a 638. But I’m sure he has taken that to the next level and tested it against others. That is the whole point of Muvar, to automatically test variables and to refine your sales letter so that it performs better.

I couldn’t resist trying to refine his headline with my new found tool. After all, if a half hour of my having fun can help him get these tools in the hands of more people, and if he makes a bit more in the process, then it is worthwhile for me. So James, if you’re reading this, plug this one into Muvar and tell me if it performs better than your current, “Discover How Multivariate Testing Leads To Freakin Awesome Sales Letters That Will Practically Steal The Money From Your Visitor’s Wallets… 100% Guaranteed!”

That original scored 638 with Glyphius 2007 and this one, “Discover How Automatically Testing Multiple Variables with This Underpriced Software Leads To Awesome Sales Pages that Catapult Response… 100% Guaranteed!” scores 757. Does that mean it will increase response by more than 15%? No, that’s not what the score means. But it would be interesting to see if it does pull better. I’ll let you know here if he tells me it does.

Finally, James is a rather generous guy and will no doubt either praise or trash this blog to his readers. I just hope he gives me a few weeks /component/option,com_jcalpro/Itemid,28/extmode,cal/date,2010-04-01/”>cialis drug impotence to add some more serious content before he does. And if you are still reading my page, then get your mouse over to James Brausch’s Internet Business Blog where you can really learn some important things about business and life.
