I&#039;m fascinated by this process. As a novice, volunteer fundraiser, I&#039;m starting to talk to prospective donors. I don&#039;t understand the subtleties of asking. It doesn&#039;t help that a lot of the advice I get involves &lt;em&gt;not&lt;/em&gt; explicitly asking, but doesn&#039;t really discuss how you &lt;em&gt;do&lt;/em&gt; ask. Would you be willing to write a bit about that?
